Today kicks off Honey and Tatu Camp 2012! Yay!!!
Every year Ricky and I host our grandchildren, ages 4 and up, for three nights and four days of fun. People comment that we are such awesome grandparents and so self-sacrificing but we are the ones that benefit the most! Something about having the kids all to ourselves with nobody else around lends itself to some beautiful conversations and a bonding that doesn’t take place in the busyness of everyday life. We make ourselves totally available to them, and it is worth every second!
In the past we have traveled with them, but this year they wanted to stay here.
We have a lot of surprises up our sleeves, lots of ideas from Pinterest that we are going to try out. This is the first time for our four-year-old granddaughter and I’ve been to the library for some new movies so I’ll be ready when she needs some downtime.
She will definitely add a new twist!
Well, I’d better run, still lots to do before they hit the door!
