We never can know the impact of one decision. How it might affect out future. But we can know the God of Redemption and that He takes all of our mistakes, and according to Romans 8:28, he works them all for good, all because we love Him.
I am so grateful that the sweet Father keeps adding to My Story of Redemption! Eight years ago today, another young, scared girl, made a different decision that ended in a different story. She gave birth to a beautiful boy. She chose my son and daughter-in-law to be his parents. It was a beautiful, sad, wonderful day. As I remember sitting with her parents and grandparents, as I recall their tears as they handed him to his new parents, as they blessed him and released him, I am undone. What a beautiful, wonderful, sacrificial gift.
My son always wished he had known the older brother, his older brother. He wondered how his life might be different had he been around. Now his joy is multiplied as watches his son, his oldest, be the awesome big brother to his younger brother and two sisters. That’s straight up redemption if you ask me.
I love you Jett Remington Haun! I love your dimples, your laugh, how adventurous you are! How fiercely you love your cousins, especially the babies. You make every family gathering way, way more fun! I cannot imagine our lives without you! Happy Birthday!
